Q. Can I bring my own alcohol?

A. Yes, you can stock your own bar. An off-duty police officer is required at all events that wish to have alcohol present. The off-duty police officer will be provided by the venue at a cost of $50 per hour, with a minimum of 4 hours.  A T.A.B.C. certified server provided by the barn is required for all open bars at a rate of $75 for a 4 hour timeframe. We cannot offer cash bar options at this time. One off-duty police officer and one T.A.B.C server is required for every 150 guests. Please inquire about our alcohol policy for additional information.

Q. What are my payment options?

A. We require a $1,000 deposit to secure your wedding date, then will set up monthly or bi-monthly payments in your contract, depending on your wedding date. We accept cash, check, or credit card. Please make checks payable to The Silver Spur Resort. Please mail checks to 13785 SH 19, Canton TX 75103.

Q. How long do we have the venue for?

A. Generally you will have the venue from 9am to midnight. Last call for alcohol is 11pm. Vendors need enough time to exit the venue by midnight. If extra hours are needed, please let us know. Otherwise a $250 fee will apply if not out by contracted time. Exceptions can be made if coordinated ahead of time.

Q. Can we use sparklers?

A. Yes. Sparklers can be used at least 8 feet away from the barn and put out in the correct manner.

Q. How many chairs, tables does the barn have?

A. The venue has 30 round 72″ tables, 300 white garden chairs, and 6 rectanguar 6′ tables. 

Q. Does The Barn help flip rooms and move tables and chairs where need be before and after wedding?

A. The Barn can assist with 2 setups: one for the indoor/outdoor ceremony and one for reception. The Barn will also clean up chairs and tables after your event. Clients are still responsible for room flips, trash pickup, and gathering personal belongings after event.

Q. Are tents and stages allowed on the property?

A. Tents must be approved by The Barn, and if approved, the client renting the tent must be present for setup. 

Q. Can we rent a ceremony area and not rent the barn?

A. We do offer ceremony only options. These are available based on availability.
